Meet the man behind the camera.
Hi everyone, my name is Noah Lanouette & I was born in Mesa, Arizona. For 15 years I have mostly worked as a stage performer, I went to Arizona School for the Arts. Some of my favorite roles in theatre have been Chip Tolentino in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Beethoven in Dog Sees God & Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors.
When I was 16, I watched Jordan Peele’s Get Out for the first time and it inspired me to write a script of my own… and then another one…and another one after that. From that point on, I realized that I wanted to be a screenwriter and for the last 7 years, I have been writing, directing and editing. In 2022, I graduated from Scottsdale Community College with my Associates Degree in Applied Science Motion Picture Television & New Media Production.
In April 2021, I decided it was time to establish myself more. With the help of my partner in crime, Ali Giordano, we founded Rather Generic Productions and have produced over 10 short film productions including Duplicity, Iris & Making a Movie: A Hard Day’s Night, the latter of which won Second Place for Best Documentary at the 2021-2022 Artists of Promise at Maricopa Community Colleges. In addition, I will be directing my first feature length film this summer; "The Absence" written by Dalton John.
Some of my favorite movies include;
- ET: The Extra Terrestrial, “an absolute classic”
- tick, tick…BOOM!, “because I’m still a theatre kid at heart”
- NOPE, “because Jordan Peele…duh”
- Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, “one of the best superhero movies ever made”
- The Lighthouse, “no joke, my actual favorite movie of all time”
